How Credits Work

Credits are used to pay for usage across the toolstream.dev platform. The cost is based on the complexity of the action.

  • Direct API Tool Execution (/v1/tools/execute): Each successful tool call costs 1.00 credit.
  • Toolstream Live (OpenAI): Each run with OpenAI GPT-4o costs 2.00 credits.
  • Toolstream Live (Gemini): Each run with Gemini 2.5 Pro costs 3.00 credits. This covers the increased cost of the more advanced model.

For example, with the Developer Pack (1,200 credits), you could make 1,200 direct API tool calls, have 600 agentic runs with OpenAI, or 400 runs with Gemini 2.5 Pro.
